Entered into rest on January 30,2018 Mr. Earl Thigpen husband of 62 years to Mrs. Reba N.Thigpen of Evans Ga. The funeral will be held Friday Feb.2,2018 1;00 pm at Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor Matthew Moore and Dr. Bobby Coleman officiating . Mr. Thigpen will lie in state 1- hour prior to the service at the church. The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Honorary Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Columbia County Fire & Rescue. Mr. Thigpen was in the Air Force during the Korean conflict and Vietnam war and retired from the military ,he also retired from Ga Pacific. He was a loving husband,father,grandfather and great grandfather. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Additional survivors include; 4- sons-Earl Dennis Thigpen-Grovetown Ga. Richard Wayne Thigpen Sr. -Evans Ga. Gary Charles Thigpen-Edgefield SC. Christopher Joseph Thigpen-Dearing Ga. 2- daughters- Sherrie Bass and Valerie Day both of Evans Ga. 1- brother-Thomas Thigpen-Martinez Ga. 1- sister-Evelyn Shepard-Avery Ga. 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
