It is with great sadness that the family of Dwayne Walker Tackett announces his passing. Known fondly to his family as Bozie, he was born on January 21st, 1964 in Ashland, Kentucky, to the late James and Phyllis Tackett. He passed away on February 18th, 2025 at his residence in Augusta, GA, at the age of 61. A proud Air Force veteran and lifelong instructor, Dwayne had a deep passion for teaching. He will be fondly remembered as the family comedian, bringing laughter to those around him, and for his love of painting. He is survived by his wife Penny Boquist Tackett; his children: Jessica Amick (Adam), Jacob Tackett, Jeremy Boquist (Laura), Justin Boquist (Alisha), and Jamie Boquist; his five grandchildren: Braidyn, Maiyson, Laihtyn, Elliot, and Lucy; his sister Dawn Ealey (Pete), and his nephew Logan. At his request, no services will be held.
