Drummond Kurtz, 88, passed away on September 15, 2026.

Born on August 18, 1938, Drummond grew up in Ohio. He went on to graduate from Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in English, an accomplishment that helped shape the course of his life and career. After college, he moved to Augusta, where he built both his professional life and his home.

Drummond served as a vice president of Textron at EZ-GO, a role that reflected his leadership and commitment over the course of his career. Beyond his work, he was known for the energy and enthusiasm he brought to the things he loved. He was an avid road cyclist and a competitive doubles tennis player, sharing that passion for tennis with his wife, Dee.

Above all, Drummond will be remembered by those closest to him. He is survived by his wife, Dolores “Dee” Kurtz; his children, Mark Kurtz and Holly Hill; and his grandchildren, Zachary Matthews and Hanna Morrell. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ami Kurtz.

Drummond’s life was marked by devotion to family, dedication to his work, and enjoyment of the pursuits that brought him happiness. He will be remembered with love and gratitude by all who knew him.
