GROVETOWN, Ga. - Entered into rest Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at his residence, Mr. Douglas Lee Riggs, 81, husband of Mrs. Evelyn Strickland Riggs. Funeral service will be held at the graveside Friday, November 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Tony Henderson officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery. Mr. Riggs was born in Maysville, N.C. Douglas was a member of Clifford Memorial Presbyterian Church. He retired from Davis Hauling as a truck driver and served with honor in the U.S. Army. Survivors include: wife, Evelyn Strickland Riggs, Grovetown, Ga.; sons, Perry (Keri) Badger, Grovetown, Ga., Ricky (Debbie) Badger, Columbia, S.C., Robert (Laura) Badger, Roanoke, Va.; daughters, Lola Brissel, Augusta, Ga., Alice (Mark) Mueller, Augusta, Ga.; sister, Jane (James) Rikard, Maysville, N.C.; 41 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers: Zach Badger, Chip Mueller, Stephen Wisecup, Jason Brissel, Mark Cliett, Richard Matthews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6-8 p.m. Thomas L.
