AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest on July 4, 2014 at her residence, Mrs. Dorothy Powell, wife of the late William Alex Powell of Augusta, Ga. Mrs. Powell was retired from the Sibley Mill and the Kendall Co. She was preceded in death by her son, James Powell and by her great-great-grandchild, Aiyanna Rachels. Survivors: one daughter, Jeanette Matthews; nine grandchildren, Janice, Joyce, Julie, Jay, Patricia, Jimmy, Shannon, Sara, and TJ; 22 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of King Funeral Home with Dr. Michael Davenport officiating. Interment will be in Westover Memorial Park. Thomas L.
