Dorothy Johnson Hornsby, 74, of Blythe, GA entered into rest on July 08, 2024 where she joined her husband, Jesse T. Hornsby, Sr., her parents, brother, and two sisters.

Dorothy worked for the City of Augusta for many years before achieving her certification in medical coding. She also worked at the Blythe Senior Center where she met lifelong friends.

Survivors include her three sons, Jesse T. Hornsby, Jr. (Angela), William L. Hornsby (Nicole), and Brian Johnson (Christina), along with her four grandsons, her brother, Fred Johnson, Jr., and her nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 12, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a memorial service to follow at Thomas L. King Funeral Home located at 124 Davis Road, Martinez,  GA 30907. Interment will immediately follow the service at West View Cemetery located at 2051 Division Street, Augusta, GA 30904. Pallbearers include Kevin McKinney, Glen Rahn, William Reynolds, Chris Langford, Nathan Beaudin, and Brandon Schrumpf.
