Dorothy R. Hill, 78, of Martinez, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 12, 2024.

Dorothy was born in Alabama but was a longtime Augusta area resident. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and enjoyed caring for her patients. Dorothy loved her Lord, which led to her being a member of West Acres Baptist Church for over 20 years where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was an avid crafter and enjoyed traveling. Dorothy was also a great cook. Some of her specialties include her stuffed chicken breast a la Dorothy, and her delicious desserts such as her pineapple cake, coconut cake, and her rum cake.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jobe Richard Hill Sr. and her son Jobe Richard Hill Jr.

Survivors include her children, Joseph Earl Hill (Sharon), Timothy Wayne Hill (Karette), and LaTisha Rael Hill; her family at heart, Mary Jane Foster; and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 6:00 until 7:00 PM at Thomas L. King Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will follow in the chapel at 7:00 PM with Rev. Larry Harmon officiating.
