Mrs. Dorothy Julia Kutzing Effinger, 88, beloved wife of the late Robert W. Effinger, entered into rest Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Kentwood Extended Care. Mrs. Effinger was the daughter of the late Erick and Hermina Grosskopf Effinger. She was a member of Grovetown United Methodist Church and she loved to knit and crochet and crocheted over 60 sweaters for Guide Post of World Vision. She was a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed. Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Chapel of Thomas L. King Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Scholten officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In addition to Mrs. Effinger's husband and parents, she is also preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Frankel and a brother, Ralph Kutzing. Additional survivors her children, Diane Stratton (Monty) of Freeport, NY, Carol Manasco (Clifford) of Grovetown, GA, Donald Effinger (Ayn) of Deer Park, NY, and Candice Glandorf of Grovetown, GA; a sister, Janice Palmer (Larry) of Phoenicia, NY; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
