Entered into rest on April 24,2017. Mrs Doris Helen Dunn Dodgen wife of the late Jack Dodgen of Augusta Ga.. Mrs . Dodgen was born in Augusta, she retired from Kendall Company, she also worked at Tudors cleaners,she was a member of The Sanctuary , she was past President of The Augusta Police Dept. Womens Auxillary ,she was a loving wife,mother,and grandmother.She is preceded in death her parents Mr. Ozzie and Thaddie Lee Dunn,sister- Virginia Teague and a grandson- Daniel Jason Odum. Survivors include 1- son- Danny Jack Dodgen- Augusta Ga. 4- daughters Katherine Odum (Herman-Dec.) Augusta Ga. Annette Smith(David) Evans Ga. Jackie Weathers(Thomas)-Thomson Ga. Margaret Smith -Grovetown Ga. 2- sisters-Peggy Stewart- Augusta Ga. And Sandra Ansley- Atlanta Ga. 12- Grandchildren 33- Great grandchildren and 7- Great great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Thursday April 27,2017 at 1;00 pm at The Sanctuary with Pastors Ricky Coule and Gary Hadden officiating. Mrs. Dodgen will lie in state 1- hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 pm at Thomas L. King Funeral Home.
