Retired Chemical Machine Operator MARTINEZ, Ga. - Entered into rest on August 18, 2016, Mr. Donald Lee Newman, husband of Mrs. Anna Tobin Newman of Martinez, Ga. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Chapel with Rev. Larry Teboe and Leon Gentry officiating. Entombment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Bellevue Chapel. Newman, Thomson, Ga., Brian Newman, Martinez, Ga.; two daughters, Patti Newman, Harlem, Ga., and Wendy Arthur, Martinez, Ga.; one brother, Floyd Newman, Martinez, Ga.; one sister, Mary Quarles, Edgefield, S.C.; 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Mr. Newman was a Jehovah's Witness. He was a Sergeant and served in the Army during the Korean conflict, where he received a Purple Heart. He was an avid sportsman; he loved fishing, country music, and being with his family. Thomas L.
