Dolores Deann Crandall, 88, lovingly known as "D.D." to all her family and friends, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 29, 2026.

She was born in Cucumber, WV on July 3, 1937, a loving daughter to her late mother Tresa Klein."D.D." graduated from Big Creek High School in War, WV. While attending school she met and married the love of her life, Lonnie E. Crandall, whom she was married to for 60 years until his passing in 2015.

She worked in banking for several years with her last position at the VA Federal Credit Union in Augusta, GA. She was an avid reader, often reading a book a day. Crochet, cooking, and shopping were always a big part of her life. Most of all her life was devoted to her family who were her whole life.

She is preceded in death by her son, Kevin A. Crandall and her sister Regina Smith.She is survived by her daughter, Tresa Witherington (Roy), 3 grandsons, Michael (Leigh), Adam (Allison), and Samuel (Maggie). Seven great-grandchildren Lily, Cash, Danner, Ella, Ava, Gemma and Briggs. Her niece Stephanie Schell, great niece Alexandra Ferrales , and her great nephew Javier Fernandez.

A graveside service will be held Friday, June 12, 2026, at Bellevue Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m. 

A special Thank You to Enhabit Hospice, especially Hannah, Lena and Hope, who provided her care, kindness and friendship the last months of her life.
