Mr. Dewayne Chancey, beloved husband of Mrs. Marlene Scott Chancey, entered into rest on August 10, 2021. A funeral service will be held on Saturday August 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Columbia County Exhibition Center, 212 Partnership Dr., Grovetown, GA. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:00 AM on Saturday morning.

Mr. Chancey was born in Alma GA, and was the son of Larry Padgett Chancey, and Joann Chancey. Dewayne was the owner of Chancey's Wrecker Service. In addition to helping his community as a towing professional , he was also a wonderful teacher, coach and leader. Dewayne was the most patriotic and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

In addition to his wife survivors include his sons Dexter (Kristin) Chancey, Rob Anderson, and Nathan Anderson, his daughters Heather Chancey, Madison Chancey, and Brittany (Blake) Arp, his sisters Lorie Ivey, and Michelle Chancey, and his six grandchildren Bryce, Paisley, Walker, Maverick, Zara, and Knox.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Augusta Warrior Project, 701 Greene St. Augusta, GA, 30901.
