Debra Lawane Carroll, 66, entered into rest on Sunday, December 29, 2024.

Debra went by "DC" to friends, and "Mawmaw" to family, and she loved her poodle, Sir Charlie, more than anything. 8-second hugs were the most important, and she loved her country fiercely. She was an artist as a career and a hobby, and she never met a stranger she didn't befriend. Her ability to burn bread will be missed the most.

Debra was preceded in death by her mother, Lola Mae Underdown Carroll; and her father, Hollis Wayne Carroll. She is survived by her beloved poodle, Sir Charles; daughters, Amber Davis (husband Dustin Shinkle) and Autumn Davis; and her grandchildren, Scarlet Davis, Madison Mariano, and Logan Shinkle.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 720 Telfair St., Augusta GA 30901, with Fr. Jacob Almeter officiating.
