Dean Alan Pelkey entered into rest on March 13, 2022, after a long illness. He was born in St. Augustine, Florida, on October 13, 1968. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Pintze Pelkey, and his father, William Max Pelkey, along with a brother, Robert Pintze. Dean is survived by a sister, Deborah Pelkey, and brothers, Clifford Pelkey and William Pelkey (Vicki). He also leaves behind his stepmother of 45 years, Bess Pelkey, and 2 stepbrothers, Terry Norris (Sherri) and Tim Norris. He leaves nieces, a nephew, and many other cousins and family members to cherish his memories. Dean loved an active social schedule. He made friends very easily and was the life of the party. He loved to cook for all his friends. He was one of a kind. Dean attended Cedar Shoals High School in Athens, Ga, and graduated from a Technical School in Florida. He became a contractor and took on many jobs until he had to retire. In honoring Dean's wishes the family will have a private memorial service. His final resting place will be in Maine. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital or a charity of your choice.
