David “Dave” Harry Pittenger, 74, born in Michigan entered into eternal rest on March 2, 2026. 

Dave was a long term employee of the Richmond County Board of Education and an honored Veteran of the United States Army. Dave’s favorite moments were spending time with family and friends. He was a very successful hunter and fisherman. Dave loved lending a hand to anyone in need. He never knew a stranger and was always willing to protect those whom he loved. He will be sorely missed but memories of him will be cherished forever.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Celina; his children, Scott (Julie), Tammy, and Allen;  brothers Larry, Dean, and Tim (Erika); grandchildren Katelyn, Zachary (Tiffini), Garrett (Abbey), Britni (Anthony), Makalei, and Kodi; great grandchildren Talmadge, Ella, Nevaeh, Gunner, Addison, Anelia, Waylon, and Charlie; a multitude of nieces and nephews; close friends Avery, Chelsea, Pennington, and Penelope Abbott. Fur baby Cricket. Reunited in heaven with his parents, Elizabeth “Betty” and Harry Pittenger, and his brother, Don Pittenger. 

His family will be receiving loved ones for a Celebration of Life on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 11:00am. The celebration service will be held at Riverview Church located on 1244 Fury’s Ferry Road, Evans, Ga 30809. Florist please deliver flowers to the church. 

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Golden Harvest Food Bank, or plant a tree in memory of Dave.
