David Chip Johnson, 67, entered into rest on Friday, August 16, 2024.

Born in Olathe, Kansas, he was known by his family and friends as Chip. He leaves behind his beloved dog, Lucy; his sister, Linda Baker of Grovetown, GA; niece, Angela Ferguson (Jess) of Evans, GA; brother, Sean Teufler (Tabby) of Olathe, KS; sister, Kathy Moore (Larry) of Urbana, MO; son, Cody Rogers (Erica); granddaughters, Ruby and Violet; daughter, Shae Kirkman of Pilot Grove, MO; and granddaughter, Payton Kirkman of Warsaw, MO.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence D. Johnson; his mother, Joyce Williams Teufler, and his brother, Michael L. Johnson.

Chip enjoyed fishing and educational documentaries. He worked in construction all his life and owned his own construction business in Jacksonville, FL from 2011-2020.

He was very sentimental and had a kind heart and he will be missed by all that knew him.
