Mr. David Joseph Ivey, 64, of Evans, entered into rest February 16, 2024.

David a lifelong area resident was a construction engineer with Plant Vogtle. He enjoyed gardening, and building models. He delighted in traveling with his wife Sandy, going on new adventures, but always loved going to Hilton Head Island or the Mountains. He loved spending time with his family especially his 2 precious grandchildren, and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Sandy Ivey; two sons, Dexter Ivey (Megan), and Evan Ivey; his daughter, Emily Ivey; siblings, Ray Brooks and Phyllis Smith; his cousin, Joan Stoddard; and two precious granddaughters, Adalynn and Aubri.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church, 5555 Hereford Farm Rd. Evans GA 30809, with Rev. Eddie Bradford and Ben Wills officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, 124 Davis Rd. Martinez, GA 30907.
