WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Mr. David "Larry" Dressel, 69, beloved husband of Mrs. Penny Dressel, entered into rest Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at his residence, surrounded by his family. Mr. Dressel had served for over 44 years in law enforcement in Richmond and Columbia Counties. Prior to that he had served in the U.S. Navy. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and brother, and he will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Michael Davenport officiating. In addition to his wife, Mrs. Penny Dressel, he is also survived by two sons, David Dressel (Alecia) of Wrens, GA and Bryan Dressel of Augusta, GA; four stepsons, Sam Phillips (Rhonda) of Augusta, GA, Richard Phillips of Daytona Beach, FL, David Pindell (Heidi) of Eau Claire, WI, and Charles Pindell (Alysa) of Atlanta, GA; one brother, Wyman "Bubba" Dressel (Sherry) of North Augusta, SC; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and one nephew, Phillip Dressel (Tammie) of Augusta, GA.
