Daniel was a passionate sports enthusiast, with a particular fondness for the Giants and Yankees. His love for sports was just one of the many ways he connected with friends and family, often sharing joyful moments spent cheering for his favorite teams.
He took immense pride in his children, each of whom served honorably in the United States Military. Daniel’s son Adam, who has predeceased him, proudly served in the Marines. His son Nicholas McElroy, served in the Army, and his daughter Teri Holcomb, served in the Air Force. Daniel's pride in their service showcased his deep respect for duty and commitment to their country.
In his leisure time, Daniel found great joy in spending time with his beloved grandchildren—Chloe, Clara, Connor, and Elena. Their laughter and presence brought him immeasurable happiness, and he cherished every moment shared with them.
Daniel is survived by his devoted wife, Donna Oliveri, who stood by him through thick and thin; his children Nicholas McElroy (Vanessa), Teri Holcomb (Eric); and his beloved granchildren, Chloe, Clara, Connor, and Elena. His legacy will continue through the lives of his children and grandchildren. He will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Daniel's kind spirit and love for his family will remain in the hearts of his loved ones forever.
