Daniel Eugene McDonald, known affectionately as Mac, passed away on January 8, 2025, at the age of 72 in Beech Island, South Carolina.

Born on September 11, 1952, Mac graduated from Ottawa High School and dedicated his career as a Speciality Welder with the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 150 union. Illustrating a remarkable commitment to his craft. Mac was a man who embodied hard work and had an unquenchable zest for travel and life. He was an avid motorcycle rider, often seen making cross-country trips with his beloved friend Ann Hothem. His passion for motorcycles was matched by his love for working in his shop on various projects, always striving to instill a strong work ethic in his loved ones.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and perseverance to his three children, Cody (Jessica), Josh, and Carrie, and his ten grand children. Mac was preceded in death by his parents, Clearance and Mary McDonald, and his sister, Pam McDonald. Mac's life was a testament to living fully and loving deeply. He will be remembered for his robust spirit and the indelible impact he had on those around him.
