Dana Marie (Seigler) Merritt, age 54, entered into rest, Saturday, September 14, 2024, at her home, in the arms of her loving husband.

Dana, wife to Tony Lewis Merritt of 33 years was a native of Martinez, GA.

Remaining to cherish Dana's memory are her husband, Tony Merritt; daughter, Haley Jean; grandchildren, Laci Marie, Lily Grace and Madison Mae; mother, Quinette Kelly; father, Daniel Seigler; sisters, Andi Reynolds, Melissa Novak (Eddie), Dani-Kaye Altman (Danny); Sandra Reese (Doug), Donna Saxon (Jeff); brother, Michael Kelly (Cassandra), Charlie Merritt (Cindy); mother-n-law, Regina Merritt and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Dana was preceded in death by her father, Chester Eugene Kelly; Maternal grandparents, Qunnie and Kathleen Suggs and Paternal grandparents, Earl and Pauline Sauls as well as her father-n-law, Doyle Merritt.

Dana was a loving mother who enjoyed arts & crafts, gardening, shopping, and redecorating her home, but enjoyed spending time with family most of all.  Dana, better known as Mimi, lived every day for the love of her grandchildren; she volunteered as a coach for the cheer team, monogrammed their clothing and was involved with all school activities, academic and extracurricular.  There was not a thing she would miss when it came to her grandchildren. Dana enjoyed taking care of her family and was a stay-at-home mother and grandmother for most of her years.  In addition to her support of family, she also served an 18-year career with the USDA before retiring.  Dana was loved and will be deeply missed by so many.

Services will be held Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Thomas L. King Funeral Home and Cremation Service at 124 Davis Road with Dana's nephew Pastor, Kirk Saxon officiating. The family will greet friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
