Augusta, GA- Mr. Dale E. Owens, entered into rest peacefully at his assisted living residence on Saturday, February 1st, 2025.

He was preceded by his spouse, Marcia Owens, to whom he was married for over 30 years. He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Garcia of Austin, TX; as well as his siblings, John Foster Owens and Cynthia Marie Lemon, both of San Antonio, TX.

Dale was born in San Antonio, Texas and served in the U.S. Army for 22 years. He retired as a staff sergeant ranked E7. During his time in the military, he was also reclassified as a recruiter and awarded the accolade of receiving a recruiter's ring. After his career in the military, he was a senior dental lab technician at MCG Dental School for 12 years.

Dale loved all animals, but especially dogs. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on his behalf to the ASPCA ( www.aspca.org ) or your favorite local animal rescue organization.

Funeral services with full military honors will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, February 7th, 2025, at the Bellevue Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 4501 Wrightsboro Road, Grovetown GA 30813. The family will receive friends at the Mausoleum one hour prior to service time.
