Obituary

Cynthia "Chris" Marsh, (Eubanks) Lessard (9/8/1928 - 4/26/17 ) departed her earthly body to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ and join her heavenly family that have preceded her. Her parents Tom W. and Adele (Price) Marsh Sr.; Brothers Shelly G. (Jack) and Tom W. Marsh Jr.; Sisters, Mary M. Pilcher, Flora (Flow) M. Lessard, and Carolyn (Carol) M. Hooper. Chris, as she was known, came from humble beginnings and after many years became a self- taught women. She held many jobs including several years as a LPN. She went on to be very successful in owning her on business, "Eubanks Career Center" helping many find their own successful careers. She was always happiest when helping others. Her greatest joy was serving our veterans and their families, as evidenced by her work with the Georgia American Legion Auxiliary serving as chairperson for 15years. She was an avid volunteer at the VA Hospital for many years. She served 7 terms as President of the Ladies Auxiliary for Jack Fortune Post 205 and brought many smiles to the faces of those who participated in the Cabane volunteering as the mascot clown. Family gatherings were very important to her and she loved celebrating birthdays and special occasions, especially Christmas. She loved having everyone involved in the cooking and sharing the joy of that season in her home. A fun loving person she very much enjoyed times dancing, fishing, playing bingo, and cards, among other activities. Family and friends who will miss her vitality and giving spirit are: Her only living sibling Ida M. Dye of Savannah, GA., and the love of her life and constant companion in her final years, Waymouth Betts of Augusta, GA. Her surviving children, Johanna K. (Tim J.) Kearns of Westlake, CA; John "Buddy" Keip of Augusta, GA; Joseph "Alex" (June) Keip of Lincolnton, GA and Angela K. (Danny) Smith of Mitchell, GA. 9 Grandchildren: Brian Kearns; Cynthia "Cindy" Kearns; Jason Keip ; Nathan Keip; Patrick Keip; Marty Keip; Johnny Keip; Amanda Smith Phillips, and Nicole Smith. 8 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her many friends including, Willine Steelman, Karen and Dan Gibson and Don Pounds. Her words of wisdom for everyone were "Live your life to the fullest each day so you have no regrets". She did that and was an inspiration to the many that she knew and loved. God bless and rest in peace. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to all the wonderful doctors and health care professionals who cared for her including her primary care doctor, Dr. Paul Fisher and Trinity Hospice. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from the chapel of Thomas L. King Funeral Home.
