Constance Lynne Haines, 63, entered into rest on Saturday, October 14, 2023,

Connie was born on March 7, 1960, in Staten Island, NY, to Noel and Richard Haines. She had a younger sister, Bobbi Haines-Lekhmus, and grew up in upstate New York and earned her LPN in Albany, NY. She married David Carpenter and had two children, Danielle Haines and Collin Carpenter. She was active in Sarah Care and Haven at Harlem.

Connie will be remembered for her love of animals and the joy she brought and had for the holidays, especially Christmas. She had a talent for always bringing the magic with her. She loved classic rock, eating out with family, and doing a variety of crafts. She had a great love for her family, especially her children.

Connie is survived by her children, Danielle Haines and Collin Carpenter, as well as her daughter-in-law, Joanna Carpenter; her father and step-mother, Richard and Margaret Haines; her sister, Bobbi Haines-Lekhmus; brother-in-law, Igor Lekhmus; nephews, Michael Lekhmus and Brian Lekhmus; niece, Jessa Lekhmus; and great-nephew, Tre Lekhmus. She was predeceased by her mother, Noel Haines.

There will be a private memorial service for family and friends. Due to her love of animals, the family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Connie's honor to Hands to Paws ( https://www.hands2paws.org/donate.html ).
