August 9, 1952 – May 25, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected and sudden passing of our beloved Connie Jean Wendt on May 25, 2026 at the age of 73.
Connie was born on August 9, 1952 in Saginaw, Michigan to Kenneth and Shirley Manchester. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend whose kindness, strength, and love touched everyone who knew her.
She spent her life devoted to her family. She was the "rock" of the family when anyone was sick or needed "doctor" Connie's advice; they knew they could ask her and she would be there for them.
Connie loved to travel with her husband Robert. They both made many memories on the adventures they took together in life. She also was a devoted and faithful Florida Gator fan. Her dedication and love for the gators were undeniable. Connie always said " I bleed orange and blue."
Her most passionate hobby was collecting manatees. She had great appreciation for them. Connie also was obsessed with the color purple. Everything purple was her way of showing her fun and happy spirit that she had.
Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her loved ones, especially her children. She loved creating memories with them that will be cherished forever.
She is survived by her children, Heather(David) and Jeremy(D'Lynn); her mother Shirley; brother William; sister Kelly; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other extended family members. She is also leaving behind many dear friends who will miss her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert; her father Kenneth; her brother Ken; her grandparents and many extended family members. Also preceded her in death is her many beloved fur babies that she cared so deeply for.
A celebration of life and memorial service with be held at Cornerstone Fellowship Congregational Holiness Church, 1612 Central Avenue in Augusta, GA. Family and friends are invited to attend and honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, please donate in memory of Connie to your local humane society.
Though our hearts are forever broken, we find comfort knowing her love and legacy will live on in all who knew her.
