Connie Lorraine Tuten, age 39, of Augusta, entered into rest unexpectedly on March 31, 2024.

Connie is preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Tuten and her father, William Tuten. Survivors include her children, De'Carlo Lara, Joseph Lara, Makaylah Radford, Jonathan Radford, and Gabe Tuten; her mother, Patricia Tuten; sister, Dorothy Bales; and many nieces and nephews.

Connie was a lifelong native of Augusta. She was later adopted by Patricia and Billy Tuten where she was welcomed into their home and shown love like she had never known. Connie loved going to the lake with her family and she especially loved fishing. Later Connie shared this favorite activity with her own children and it remains one of their favorite memories of their mom.

Connie had a kind giving heart and longed to be a good mother to her children. Unfortunately she battled with addiction like many others and it stole a large part of her life. She longed for another chance to make things right. It is fitting though that in her death Connie did indeed give others a second chance at life through organ donation.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
