Funeral Service
Clyde Lee Ryals Jr., 79, of Evans, went home to be with the Lord on March 7, 2026.
Clyde was born March 21, 1946, in Dunn, North Carolina to the late Clyde Lee Ryals Sr., and Ava B. Ryals. He left a legacy of strong Christian Faith in God. He exemplified a life of giving and a very humble spirit.
Clyde’s father was in the military, so his family was stationed in many areas. His fondest memories were made in Japan and Germany. Growing up he played many sports and always wanted to excel in anything he played.
Clyde was a 1964 graduate of Butler High School. He also proudly served in the military and was stationed in Germany. He attended Augusta College and went on to work at Augusta Chemicals then for DSM Resins for 31 years.
Clyde was a devoted family man and is survived by his loving wife, Anglea Gail Ryals, son, Eric B. Ryals (Christina); granddaughter, Cassidy Dickerson; two sisters, Vivian Babb (Rich), and Sue Bignell; brother-in-law Charles LaFavor; and many nieces and nephews.
He was a previous member of Cliffwood Presbyterian Church, Second Baptist Church, Hillcrest Baptist Church, Victory Baptist Church, and was currently attending Fleming Baptist Church, where he was working in homebound ministry, served as director of the food pantry, and worked in live streaming.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice Services of Georgia for all of the love and care they showed.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday March 14, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Fleming Baptist Church, 3027 Peach Orchard Rd, Augusta, GA 30906, with Dr. Adam Hammond officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations to the Food Pantry at Fleming Baptist Church.
