GROVETOWN, Ga. - Retired Msg. Claude Thompson, Jr., age 83, today the earth stood still and laid to rest a man words could not describe. A loyal patriot serving occupation of Germany WWII, Korean Conflict, Vietnam War, earning numerous awards and medals. Great father and grandfather any kid could wish for. On Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Doctors Hospital. Longtime resident of Keeling Pl., Augusta, Ga., before residing in Grovetown, Ga. Claude was born June 13, 1931 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Claude Thompson Sr. and Evelyn Thompson. The legacy he has left behind will not be diminished and his strength and wisdom that he passed on will continue to grow through his children and grandchildren to all that knew him the loss is tremendous and to the unfortunate people who did not know of the love and wisdom loss out on finding a treasure. Survived by his loving wife Ok Sun Kinsey; his grateful children, Claude Thompson III, May Thompson, James and Kil Sun Kinsey, Patrick and Veronica Kinsey and 14 loving grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Westover Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the graveside.
