Clara Alice Bargeron Free, 85, of Augusta, passed away on February 28, 2025.

Clara was born August 29, 1939, to David and Khole Bargeron. She was raised in Augusta GA and met "a boy from East Tennessee" when they both worked for Murray Biscuit Company. Clara and Kenneth Jack Free married in 1961 and had four daughters, Robin, Jacqueline, Carolyn and Patricia. Clara was fiercely protective of her daughters and raised them to be strong women.

Clara is preceded in death by her husband Jack and her daughter Carolyn.

Survivors include her thee daughters; her son in law Rodney; her grandchildren, Kalen, Brent, Hali (Richard), Schuyler, and Navarone; great grandchildren, Braiden, Blake, Bobby, Jaxi, Silas, Ava, Mila, Blaze, and 3 week old Knox; her brothers, James and Lee; her nephews, Jimmy "Bubba" (Donna) and Patrick (Joanna) and their children who lovingly called her Aunt TyTy; nephews, Phillip and Mike (Christie); bonus daughters Brenda Jones, Stacy and Memori Wheatley.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 12:00 until 3:00 PM at Old Union Baptist Church, 6095 Old Union Rd. Harlem GA 30814.
