Obituary

Christopher Lee Savage Sr. passed away peacefully in his home in Lincolnton, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and a family and community who will forever miss him.

Christopher was the beloved son of the late Katherine Louise Benson and the late George Davis Savage Sr.

He is survived by his children, Nicole Chandler and Christopher Chandler; his grandchildren, Raelynn and Ryan; and many other loved ones who held a special place in his heart. He was also a father figure to many, including Richard Davis, and touched the lives of countless people who looked to him for guidance, friendship, and support.

He is survived by his sisters, Lisa Nicholson, Teresa Savage, Kimberly Savage Langley, and Diane Savage. He is also survived by his brothers, Timothy Savage and George Davis Savage Jr., He was preceded in death by his sister, Darlene Savage Scavone. Along with his nieces and nephews, including Crystal Mayger, Christina Long, Ciara Messex, and Otis Nicholson Jr., Chris Scavone Jr., Aimee Savage, TJ Savage, Valentine Savage as well as many other dear family members and loved ones.

Christopher found happiness in the simple things in life. He loved fishing, camping, spending time at the lake, and fixing vehicles. Most of all, he loved caring for his family and close friends. If someone needed a helping hand, Christopher was the person they could count on.

A true handyman, he had a gift for fixing just about anything and never hesitated to lend his time, knowledge, or strength to someone who needed it. He had a kind heart and a kind soul, and his willingness to help others was one of the qualities that made him so deeply loved.

Those who had the privilege of working alongside Christopher knew him as dependable, hardworking, and someone they could always count on. Those who knew him personally knew there was much more to him than the things he could fix. He gave his time freely, cared deeply for the people around him, and left an impression on many lives.

Christopher will be remembered not only for the things he did, but for the love, kindness, friendship, and memories he leaves behind.

His memory will live on through his children, grandchildren, family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

Rest peacefully, Dad. You will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A Celebration of his Life is planned for November.
