Mrs. Christine McCoy Williams, 70, of Grovetown, entered into rest on November 15, 2024.

Christine was a lifelong Augusta area resident and retired from the Columbia County Sheriff's Office. Christine enjoyed listening to country music, watching CSI and Law and Order SVU, and previously enjoyed equestrian show horses. Her love for the beach was matched only by her sense of adventure and excitement for life, which she expressed through countless cherished cruises with her beloved husband DJ.  To her, these journeys were not just trips but experiences full of laughter, exploration, and precious memories. Family was of importance to her. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her precious fur baby Chipper. Christine's legacy is one of love, joy, and an unwavering dedication to those she held dear. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.

Christine is preceded in death by her parents, John Edgar McCoy and Christine Garvin McCoy, and her beloved husband, DJ Williams.

Survivors include her children, John Dillion "Jody" Flanagan Sr. (Becky) and Christine Danielle "Doodlebug" Brown (Brent); her brothers, Johnny McCoy and Barry McCoy; and her grandchildren, Brittany Justice, Calista Justice, Elizabeth Powell, Ayden Williams, John Dillion Flanagan Jr., and Maxwell Flanagan.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Thomas L. King Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests donations to the Southern States Police Benevolent Association.
