Charles "Chuck" Parrish, a beloved member of the Augusta community, passed away on December 21, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on July 1, 1951, in Augusta, Georgia, Chuck's life was characterized by dedication, kindness, and a passion for service.
Chuck devoted 19 years of his life as a firefighter with the Augusta Fire Department, where he exemplified bravery and commitment to the safety of others. Following his tenure as a firefighter, he spent the next 25 years contributing to the Richmond County School System.
A graduate of Butler High School, Chuck was known for his simple demeanor and warm spirit. He was not only a hard worker but possessed a tremendous love for music, particularly gospel and the timeless songs of Elvis Presley. His remarkable singing abilities brought joy and solace to those around him.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Chuck was a wonderful carpenter, showcasing his skill and creativity through his craftsmanship. He took great pride in his work, earning the respect of family and friends alike.
Charles is survived by his sons, Chad Parrish (Jennifer) and Arnie Stein (Nicole), as well as his sister, Ann Lowry (Gordon), and five cherished grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. They, along with countless friends and acquaintances, will remember Chuck for his generosity, his laughter, and his keen sense of joy for life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. Parrish Jr. and Ruby Parrish, and his brother, Patrick "Pat" Parrish. Their memories will forever be tied to Chuck’s enduring legacy.
Visitation will be held on December 29, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Thomas L. King Funeral Home and Cremation Services, located at 124 Davis Road, Martinez, GA, 30907. A graveside service will follow on December 30, 2025, at West View Cemetery, located at 2051 Division St, Augusta, GA, 30904, starting at 12:00 PM.
Chuck Parrish will be deeply missed but will always be remembered for his unwavering spirit and the love he shared with all who knew him.
