Charles David Cozart, 46, went home to be with the Lord, Monday October 15, 2018. Charles, affectionately known as Charlie was born in Augusta, GA November 09, 1971. He graduated from Evans High School in 1989. He was a master carpenter by trade. He was also a huge sports fan. He loved every kind, especially the Georgia Bulldogs, he was one of their biggest fans! He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the great outdoors; he was truly in awe of God's creation. Charlie was a member of Trumpet in Zion Fellowship. One of his greatest passions was teaching the Word of God and telling others of the wonderful love of Jesus. He wasn't ashamed to tell a stranger "Jesus loves you man". He had a great love and compassion for people of all backgrounds and had a host of friends that witnessed his love and friendship. Charlie especially had a great love for his family. He will be greatly missed.
Charlie will be survived by his father, David Cozart (Sabrina) and his mother, Karen Ray, two brothers Christopher and Harrison Cozart, grandmother, Mary Cozart, a host of aunts, uncles and cousins and his beloved companion Faith Cozart.
Pallbearers will be Christopher, Harrison, Mitchell (father), Mitchell (son), Spencer and Aaron Cozart.
The family will receive friends Thursday October 18, 2018 at Thomas L. King Funeral Home from 5:00pm -7:00pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 19, 2018, at Greater Augusta Apostolic Church. Pastor Darryl G. McCoy Sr. will be the eulogist. Charles David Cozart will lie in state from 10:00am until the hour of service. Interment will be at the Pierce Memorial Cemetery.
