Carol J. Deitering, a woman of gentle spirit and deep love, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026. She was 74 years old.

Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago on March 19, 1952, Carol's heart found its true home in the wide-open beauty of the high desert of Tucson, Arizona. In her later years, she put down roots in Thomson, Georgia, where she was known for her warmth, her faith, and her devotion to those she loved.

Carol was a woman who found joy in simple, meaningful things. She had a tender place in her heart for animals and could light up a room with the mention of her grandchildren. Her Christian faith was the quiet anchor of her life — she was a faithful member of her church community and found deep comfort and purpose in studying the Bible.

She is survived by her son, Charlie Westbrook, and his wife Jessi, along with her beloved grandchildren Camdyn, Dean, and Annabelle, who were among her greatest joys.

Carol leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and kindness.
