Carl Wayne Beggs, lifelong resident of Selma, Alabama, passed away into eternal life on January 21, 2023, at the age of 65.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Sarah Reed Beggs; his sister, Karen Brown; and niece, Charity Odell Williamson.

He is survived by his two brothers, Hearold (Stella) Beggs of Valley Grande, AL, and Allen (Kathy) Beggs of Martinez, GA.; an aunt, Helen Reed of Jones, AL; nieces, Stephanie (DeWayne) Roberts, Shannon Odell, and Monica Odell; nephews, Justin (Amanda) Beggs and Brad Beggs; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Carl loved his family, friends, work, and Alabama football. He loved to laugh, help others, and have fun with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, 842 County Rd 83, Jones, AL with Allen Groves, cousin, officiating.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff of The Place at Martinez Nursing Facility in Martinez, GA, that cared for their dear brother.
