Obituary

Cameron J. Carson, born on August 7, 1977 passed away on March 4, 2026, leaving behind a profound legacy of kindness and generosity. A proud 1995 graduate of Evans High School, Cameron exemplified the spirit of his community through his compassion and quiet demeanor. He was a man of strong faith in God. His faith guided the way he treated others with kindness, humility, and grace.

Following in the footsteps of his father, Cameron served honorably in the U.S. Army, embodying the values of dedication and service that resonate strongly within his family. His military experience enriched his character, providing him with a sense of purpose that extended into all aspects of his life.

Cameron was known for his wonderful sense of humor and ability to connect with others. Despite his quiet nature, he never met a stranger, building friendships that spanned the nation. Those who knew him will remember him as a civil war history buff, passionately sharing his knowledge with anyone interested. He was also an avid gamer, with a large gaming community that he met with frequently.

In addition to his friendships, Cameron was a devoted family man. He is survived by his loving parents, John and Dovie Carson, and his cherished sisters, Meghan Bishop (and husband Henry Bishop Jr.) and Darla Beale (and husband Ken). Cameron took great pride in his role as a doting uncle to his niece and nephews, CJ Bishop, Hank Bishop III, and Libby Claire Bishop, cementing his position as a beloved figure in their lives.

Furthermore, Cameron held a special bond with his second mother, Ms. Elizabeth Wilson, whose influence played a significant part in his upbringing. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and other family members who will miss him deeply.

As we celebrate Cameron's life, we remember a kind soul whose generosity and warmth touched the hearts of many. His legacy will continue through the memories shared by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
