Bruce Chandler Anderson entered into rest peacefully at his home surrounded by his family Wednesday August 9,2017. Pop as he was called by his grandchildren is the husband of Kathleen Powell Anderson. Bruce was a self employed contractor and lived in Augusta all his life,he never met a stranger, he loved being outdoors and helping others, he was loved by neighbors and friends. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his father William W. Anderson Jr. and a brother Richard Anderson. Additional survivors include his mother Ila Grace Redd Anderson, Daughter Rene Silas and her husband Robbie-Augusta Ga. Son Ryan Bruce Anderson-Edgefield SC. . Brother William W. Anderson III and his wife Ann-North Augusta SC. sister Nancy Megee and her husband Mike-Amarillo Texas. Sister in law Pamela Anderson-Evans Ga. Grandchildren Katelyn Silas,Chandler Silas,Taylor Anderson,Parker Anderson,Madison Anderson. He was loved by his brothers and sister in laws and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends for A Celebration visitation Sunday from 4pm-6pm at the funeral home.A Memorial service will be held Monday at 11;00 am at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Powell and Pastor Todd Wiggins officiating.
