AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest at his residence on February 2, 2015, Mr. Brent Lamar Pittman, age 59. Brent was the son of the late MSG Cleonard G. and Margaret Powell Pittman, Sr. He was employed by the Thomas L. King Funeral Home. He was a former EMT and Cardiac Tech for the Kings Columbia County Ambulance Service, a former firefighter with the West Richmond County Fire Department. He was an accomplished pilot who enjoyed flying with his best friend, Steve Reeves. He also loved to build and fly model airplanes with his son and members of the Evans Flying Club. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, father, and friend. He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Hobgood. Survivors: son, Chadd Pittman, Augusta; brother, LTC (Retired) Cleonard Sonny Pittman, Jr. (Sue), Augusta; his twin brother, Trent Pittman (Delaine), Lamar, MS; the mother of his son, Mrs. Sheri Barrow, Appling. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the King Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dewain French officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. Honorary pallbearers: Vernon Terry, Dan Lawon, Pete Hobgood, Brian Viscusi and the Evans Flying Club.
