McCombs APPLING, Ga. - Mrs. Betty Jo Young McCombs, 78, entered into rest Thursday, May 12, 2016 at home surrounded by her loved ones. Mrs. McCombs was the beloved wife of the late James R. McCombs. She was born in White Plains, GA to the late Edgar P. and Jesse D. Gunnin Young. Celebration of life service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Shepherds Church, 6544 Cobbham Rd., Appling, GA, with Pastor John Davis officiating. In addition to Mr. James R. McCombs, Mrs. McCombs is also preceded in death by the father of her children, Mr. J.F. "Jimmy" Golucke. Family members include two sons, C.F. "Buddy" Golucke and his wife Kathy of Appling, GA and James E. Golucke and his wife Gloria of San Antonio, TX; one daughter, Teresa Schofield and her husband Carl of Lyons, GA; and numerous grand and great-grandchildren.
