Obituary

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Beryl Corvette, who went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 10th. She was born on April 12, 1942 in Dublin, Ireland and raised in Belfast, Ireland. As a young woman, she moved to Germany where she met and married her husband, William, before joining him to live together in the US.  She had her first two children, Billy and Janine, in California, then expanded her family with a third child, Robert, after moving back to Conyers, Georgia where she remained for the rest of her life. Beryl is predeceased by her mother Amy Maginn, father William Maginn, husband William B. Corvette, and son William E. Corvette.

Beryl is survived by her daughter Janine Corvette Myers, son-in-law Terry Myers, son Robert (Bob) Corvette, daughter-in-law Alicia Corvette and Cameron Alley, granddaughter Billie Dowler and husband Eric Dowler, granddaughter Alyssa Corvette, granddaughter Marissa Myers, granddaughter Mercedes Myers, grandson William (Clayton) Myers and Daisy Fuentes, great-grandchildren Chao Watts, Lorenzo Myers, Amiah Perkins, and additional friends and family from all over the world.

She was a long-time member of Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church and worked with Georgia State Board of Workers Comp for 35 years.

Beryl had a big heart and was loved by many throughout her years. As a devoted mother and grandmother, she gave so much of herself to her children and grandchildren, always offering support, grace, and calm assurance. She was a constant in her family's busy life and always offered  space in her home to all who would need it. She will be remembered for her strength, unwavering faith, care for animals, passion for traveling, and pride in her Irish roots--all of which are traits she passed down to her family members.

In her final days, Beryl faced health challenges with courage and faith. While we grieve her absence, we find comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain and is now at peace in the arms of her Savior.

As we reflect on her life, we are reminded of the words from 2 Timothy 4:7-8:

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing."

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, May 17th at St. Andrew's Church in Covington, Georgia at 3:00pm. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend.
