Ben Owen Young Jr, of Augusta Ga passed away on May 17th, 2021 at 5:30 pm after a heroic fight with Covid-19. He was 59 years old. Ben leaves behind his loving wife of 28 years Sherry Renee Young, two sons Christopher Ryan Abbott and Benjamin Owen Young, his mother Brenda Williams Young, a sister Sandra Martin, step-mother Linda Young, step-sister Lisa Floyd, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and countless nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ben was a faithful member of Revivify Church, a Veteran of the US Air force, an avid Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves fan, and loved by all. Ben never met a stranger; he was always there for a friendly hug, a handshake, or to lend a listening ear. There will be a memorial service on Monday May 24th from 5pm-7pm at Thomas King Funeral Home on Davis Road. The funeral will be on Tuesday May 25th at 3pm at Revivify Church with burial following at Bellevue Cemetery. The services will be closed casket and masks will be required.
