Bailey Lane Widener, 18, of Martinez, Ga, entered into rest on Monday, August 17, 2020. Bailey was born November 6, 2001 in Augusta, Ga. to Ky and Tamara Widener. Bailey was a beautiful soul with a zest for life. She was kind, compassionate, and thoughtful of others. She loved her family, friends, and most of the puppies in Augusta, many of which she fostered. Bailey considered herself an honorary Australian, having spent a year and a half studying abroad in high school. She recently graduated as a CNA and found her passion working in Home Healthcare. Bailey had dreams of serving as an advocate for early diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis in young women, a cause that she felt was her mission in life after her own struggles with the disease. Bailey is survived by her parents, Ky and Tamara Widener; sisters Abby and Grey Widener; brother Jackson Widener; paternal grandfather Jack Widener; and maternal grandmother Mary Bailey. She is preceded in death by paternal grandmother Lil Widener. A private service will be held with immediate family.
