Mr. Alvin Mays, age 95, beloved husband of the late Helen Bryan Mays, entered into rest Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Pruitt Health in Aiken, SC. Mr. Mays was born in Augusta to the late Willie M. Mays and Luddie McCorkle Mays. He had served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a Pearl Harbor Survivor. Mr. Mays was a member of the VFW Lodge # 3200. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. at the chapel of Thomas L. King Funeral Home on Monday, October 15, 2018 with Dr. Gene Johnson officiating. Family members include 2 sons, Tim and Ted Mays; 2 sisters, Janie Overton (Joe) of Williston, SC and Melisa Lee (Troy) of Cummings, GA.
