GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mr. Alvin M. Davis, 80, the beloved husband of Mrs. Carolyn Quinn Davis, entered into rest Thursday, October 13, 2016, at home surrounded by his loved ones. Mr. Davis is retired from military service after serving in the Army, Marines, and later the Naval Reserves. Then Mr. Davis retired from the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union #150, where he was employed as a pipe welder. He was a member of the American Legion Post #205. Funeral services will be graveside at Bellevue Memorial Gardens on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at 11:30 a.m. Full military honors will be observed. In addition to his wife, Mrs. Carolyn Q. Davis, he is also survived by two sons, Lane Davis (Lisa) of New Ellenton, S.C. and Greg Davis (Paula) of Evans, Ga.; a daughter, Gina Russell of Grovetown, Ga.; a brother, Dorsey Davis; a sister, Cynthia Bayazes of Augusta, Ga.; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
