AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest on Saturday, July 4, 2015, Alton Henry Rau III of Augusta, Ga. Alton is preceded in death by his son, Nathaniel Austin Rau. He is survived by his parents, Alton Henry Rau Jr. and his mother, Susan (Pat) Paulett; his children, Kaylie Nettles and Levi Rau; his brothers, Anthony Hayes Cantwell and Matthew Rau; his sister, Candace Rau; his maternal grandparents, Karl and LaVon Dunker; his paternal grandparents, Alton Sr. and Loretta Rau; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was a mechanic at Augusta Mechanics. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Thomas L. King Chapel with Pastor Karl Dunker officiating.
