Obituary

GROVETOWN, Ga. - Deputy Alton D. Creech went home to be with his Lord on May 16, 2013. He left his earthly home on May 17, 2013. He was the husband of Mrs. Amanda Aycox Creech of Grovetown. Deputy Creech lived in this area all of his life. He was a member of the National Hills Baptist Church. He was in the Navy Reserve as ET3 Petty Officer 3rd Class. He was in the Motor Division of the Richmond County Sheriff s Office. He had an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering. He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Marie Creech. Survivors: wife, Amanda Jeanne Aycox Creech, Grovetown; father, Raymond Edward Creech, Martinez; brother, Kenneth Bedgood, Martinez; sister, Angela Yearty, Augusta; father and mother-in-law, Mike and Jeanne Aycox; brother- in-law, David Aycox. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Kevin Steele and Rev. Ken Gross officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the Thomas L. King Funeral Home Monday between the hours of 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Deputy Creech will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers: William Wright, Brian Johnson, Daniel Burlingham, Steven Jones, William Geisen, Daniel Puckett. Honorary pallbearers: All Richmond County Sheriff s Office Employees and Law Enforcement Agencies. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations please be made to the R.C.S.O.W.A.
