The OAK Church
Starts at 10:30 am (Eastern time)
Alma Delia Letbetter, 42, of Grovetown, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on October 25, 2026, surrounded by her family, after a courageous five-year battle with cervical cancer.
Born on July 21, 1984, in Tamasopo, San Luis Potosí, Mexico, to Camerino Landaverde-Olvera and Isabel Almazan-Martinez, Alma made her way to Georgia, where she met Billy Letbetter. They were married on July 25, 2008. She was a devoted homemaker and, above all, a loving mother.
Alma loved running, sewing, knitting, quilting, and gardening, and she made gifts for everyone she loved. She volunteered knitting hats and scarves for cancer patients through The Lydia Project (now Cancer Support Services). A faithful member of The OAK Church in Martinez, she loved singing gospel. She was a kind, quiet, sweet soul who never spoke ill of anyone, and the strongest person her husband has ever known.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Letbetter; her children, Samuel Landaverde, Evan Letbetter, and Kayla Letbetter; her parents; her mother-in-law, Donna Letbetter; her brother, Jose Landaverde-Almazan; her sisters, Max, Rosi, and Marissa Landaverde-Almazan; and her adopted sister, Veronica Alvarez McDonough.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, October 30, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at The OAK Church, 4495 Columbia Road, Martinez, GA 30907, and livestreamed on the church’s Facebook page. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Cancer Support Services at cancersupportservices.org
