Alice Waites Williford, 70, beloved wife of Robert Holley, entered into rest on Thursday, April 18, 2024.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, James Thomas and Mary Ellen Carroll Waites; two sons, Charlie Williford and Richard Williford; grandson, Carson Downs; great-granddaughter, Emma JoRae Hargrove; maternal grandparents, Troy and Alice Carroll; and paternal grandparents, Jimmie and Herman Viola Waites.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Holley; daughters, Shelley Smith (Jody) of Jackson SC, Alexis Downs (Brantley) of Augusta GA, and Angelique Smith (Joseph) of Aiken SC; sisters, Sherry Abel (Mike) of Thomson GA, Margaret Lowery of Savannah GA, and Kathy Combs (Jim) of Lake Havasu NV; brother, Thomas Waites of Thomson GA; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 nieces and 4 nephews; 5 great-nieces and 9 great-nephews; a host of cousins; and a very special furbaby Precious that she loved dearly.

Bootsie, as she was known to her family, loved working in her flower garden where her favorite was roses, especially yellow. She will always be remembered to have a witty and funny personality and was always willing to help anyone in need.

She was the sweetest person you would ever meet and she never met a stranger.
